Position summary: 

The Programme Analyst, Humanitarian is located in the Indonesia Country Office (CO) and reports to the Assistant Representative. 
 

Job Purpose:

Under the overall guidance of the Representative and direct supervision of the Assistant Representative the Programme Analyst, Humanitarian develops and administers the UNFPA programme/projects in functions related to humanitarian assistance in close collaboration with the humanitarian coordination team.

 

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Advanced Master’s degree in public health, demography, gender, sociology, development studies, or other related social sciences; or medical degree.
 

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme design and implementation, including significant experience in humanitarian or crisis settings. 
  • Understanding of reproductive health, including HIV/AIDS prevention and basic demographic skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of gender dimensions of conflict and natural disaster, as well as of humanitarian programming. 
  • Initiative and sound judgment. Must be highly organized and have demonstrated ability to work well under tight deadlines and in a team.  
  • Strong interest in development work, especially the mission of the United Nations Population Fund. 
  • Ability to work well under deadline, excellent interpersonal communication skills and negotiation skills. 

Languages: 

Fluency in oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia. Knowledge of an additional UN Language is desirable.
