Young people aged 10
-
24 represent 27 percent of the population and are key to
driving Indonesia’s economy to 2035. This generation holds the potential for
Indonesia to reap the benefits of the demographic dividend that will present
development opportunities if investments in young people’s access to health,
education, and employment, among others, are increased. However, youth in
Indonesia face challenges related to high unemployment, access to higher
education, and access to quality health services, including equitable youth-friendly
reproductive health information and services.
