The national consultant will need to interact intensively with the UNFPA Country Office, MOH, MOSA, MOWECP and Nurse Association in order to deliberate the content and structure of National Guideline on Elderly Care in Crisis Situation.

In producing the guideline, the national consultant needs to conduct the following tasks:

  • Desk review of the existing documents on the protection and health cares for elderly in Indonesia
  • Consult with MOH, MOSA, MOWECP, Nurse Association (PPNI) and relevant stakeholders (Faculty of Nurse - University of Indonesia and HelpAge/Yayasan Emong Lansia) for direction and inputs for the operational guideline
  • Submit and discuss the  tentative outline of the National Operational Guideline by 3th  week of January
  • Draft the National Operational Guideline on Elderly Care in Crisis Situation and submit by 2nd week of February
  • Submit the final Operational Guideline on Elderly Care in Crisis Situation by end of 1st week of March
  • Provide quality assurance to the process and products
  • Submit a high-quality guidelines in a timely manner.

Required expertise, qualifications and competencies, including language requirements:

  • Medical and/or public health or advanced university degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 (five) years relevant work experience in the field of elderly; and experiences in disaster management programme
  • Having experience in developing national guidelines, training materials, or relevant products.
  • Familiarity with the government planning mechanism/processes in Health and Protection Disaster Management
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and report-writing skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
