Publication date

In 2024, we have made great strides towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNFPA three transformative results: ending unmet need for family planning, ending preventable maternal deaths, and ending gender-based violence and harmful practices including child marriage and female genitalmutilation/cutting (FGM/C).

Our 2024 annual report highlights our shared key achievements across 5 outputs:

  1. Maternal Health and Midwifery: Improved critical maternal health care and midwifery competency to end maternal mortality.

  2. Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health: Improved sexual and reproductive health system and services in normal and humanitarian settings.

  3. Adolescent Reproductive Health and Youth Development: Improved capacity of teachers in delivering adolescent reproductive health education and meaningful youth engagement.

  4. Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: Improved violence against women data and capacities for prevention and response to gender-based violence and harmful practices.

  5. Population Dynamics and Data Analysis: Improved population data and information management for inclusive development and humanitarian response.

Together we have made remarkable progress. Let us continue our collaboration for women, girls, and the most vulnerable.
